- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
- 1 small carrot (grated)
- 2 tablespoons capsicum (chopped)
- 1 green chili (optional)
- Coriander leaves (small handful)
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Water as needed
Easy Preparation Steps
Step 1 – Prepare Oats Powder
Take oats and grind them into a fine powder using a mixer grinder.
Step 2 – Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, add oats powder, besan, onion, tomato, carrot, capsicum, coriander leaves, and spices. Now add water slowly and mix well to make a smooth batter. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.
Step 3 – Rest the Batter
Keep the batter aside for 5 minutes so the oats absorb water properly.
Step 4 – Cook the Cheela
